Must I be at home when you clean my house?
It's your choice. Many of Just The Basics customers prefer to give us a key. Others leave us a key in a safe place each visit. Alarm systems can either be left off or you can give us entry/exit codes.
How many people will clean my home?
Unless it is requested by you, our cleaners do not work in teams.
What are your house cleaning rates?
Fees are based hourly or by the room. It is best to complete the online form, or call us directly for pricing.
Do I need to provide my own house cleaning products?
Just The Basics suggest that homeowners supply their own cleaning products and equipment. This helps to keep our prices
low. However, if you would prefer us to supply the products and equipment there is a small fee.
Will I always have the same maid service team?
We make every effort to have the same cleaner in your home. Occasionally there may be a change due to illness. The Just
The Basics cleaner's job is to learn your home and to deliver the quality that you would expect.
How do you protect my keys?
If you choose for us to hold your key it is secured in a locked key storage device to which only Just The Basics owners
have access. The key is issued to the cleaner on the day of your cleaning. The cleaner returns the key
at the end of the day and it is returned to the secured container. All keys are organized in an numeric
system and have no connection to your information or address.
Are you Bonded and Insured?
Yes. We can provide documentation upon request. A bond is an insurance policy covering theft. The policy is payable
upon conviction.
How do I pay for your residential cleaning services?
Payment is due at time of service. You may pay by personal check or accepted credit cards. If you aren't home
we ask you to leave payment on the kitchen countertop. If you prefer to pay by credit card, we will handle that
process from our office the day prior to the service.
I have pets. Do I need to do anything with them prior to my cleaning visit?
We are happy to clean around your furry friends provided they will be kind to us! You will know your pets better than
we do, and should be put in a locked away room not to be cleaned or outdoors, any pet that may become aggressive or disruptive
to our cleaners. You should also be sure to make us aware of any pet that is not allowed to go outside so
that we can be sure to avoid any escapes!
